Building the Future of Trinity

Way. Truth. Life. Campaign Video

people are going to notice answered prayers at Trinity Lutheran High School uh we've been growing for 30 years and we have our building full of kids and parents have been entrusting us with their child on a year-to-year basis to train them up the right way and keeping Christ in the center of their academics on a daily basis and we're blessed to have them here and these opportunities through this expansion are going to shine very brightly through the prayers and through the generosity of the the folks around us and the community supporting us so as of today the entire building has been framed down and roofed and we are nearing completion of it being dried in there are some windows to be set yet as well as doors this will be the new entrance for the kids on a daily basis as we move into this area this is our Chapel cafetorium which also includes the Performing Arts stage and this will be seating for daily lunch schedules which will seat about 350 kids with chairs and tables in terms of seats only for a performance here on stage it'll seat about 680 stage will include a green room behind stage and it'll be connected to the drama classroom on stage there will be 2 dressing rooms and a bathroom as well as performance area out front we definitely need a stage having our own maid stage it's been working just fine but having 1 that we don't have to worry about breaking or going into separate pieces that it's definitely a reassurance that we've made for a long time I do think that the new stage the new Auditorium will be such an amazing opportunity for just all the drama Department all of the community that comes to watch for the drama Department specifically we have a lot of really interesting constraints to what we can and can't do to have a real stage that we don't have to move or take down you know sound system and lighting and we'll have real curtains and more ways for our students to you know get to show off their talents on the back side of the chapel cafetorium is a student canteen area that'll be full of vending and as well as microwaves for students to prepare a meal this is the main events entrance if you walk in the main events doors and go left go to forming Arts area or go to the right to our new gymnasium and as you walk in closer here the concession stand will be on our right hand side as you approach into the new gymnasium area this will be the back side of the concession stand and and the athletic training room and as we move down this corridor we will approach 2 bathrooms 2 lakh rooms a referee locker room and at the very end the new weight room this is an exterior corridor for locker rooms so if we have outdoor sporting events that need locker rooms they can enter through this door women's on this side men's on this side each locker room will be equipped with their own bathrooms as well as showers and approximately 40 lockers at the very end of this hallway is the new weight room the weight room will be used for 5 periods a day as well as after school and before school the new main gymnasium area the new gymnasium will seat about 1700 the old gym seated about 750 there will be bleachers on All 4 sides the main gym will go north and south cross courts will go east and west for 2 full-size courts if needed our program currently has 28 girls and to run practice I mean at a minimum we can split them in about 14 per quarter so to have extra gym space is going to allow us to give the kids more contact during during practice and allow them to get more touches and hopefully get even better than they are basketball teams they can only practice 1 team at a time so obviously you've got boys and girls basketball and so they're having to either come in early before school or some of them could say after or they have to come back to school afterwards and so it definitely limits their ability to be able to practice during the most convenient times for for all students having 1 gym it works it does all the things it needs to do but having 2 and having extra locker rooms and a official weights room that's definitely going to give us more chances to take more opportunities to do things we haven't been able to do before this is the extension of the classroom Wing we are adding 4 new classrooms on the East side this will be a new media room for small fundraising events athletic teams to watch film and study film or for chili suffers or for college signings and things like that large Stowe storage area for gym equipment each of 4 classrooms are traditional size classrooms that could potentially house 30 students a piece if needed Mr growing in the different kinds of classes that we can have have and the different routes that people can take will really help them find their way in life and understand what they want to do best it'll make it a whole lot easier for everyone involved it's it's very exciting to see what all the donors have done to get to where it is and everybody that continues to believe in it year after year as I have led Chapel here over the years I think just the student experience is just going to be enriched just by the expansive place this expansion is designed to impact every student that comes to Trinity for everyone to be impacted in a positive way

Through our Way. Truth. Life. Campaign, we are investing in the next generation of Trinity students and strengthening our mission to educate, develop, and prepare Christian servant leaders.
